  1. How Long to Cook an Omelet

    Melt butter in a non-stick sauté pan or omelet pan over medium-low heat. Add the egg mixture to the pan; do not stir. Let the eggs cook for approximately 1 minute or until the bottom begins to set into a thin "pancake." Using a spatula, flip the egg "pancake" and cook for an additional few seconds or until the eggs are cooked. Fill the omelet and fold in half. Cook for an additional minute (do not allow the eggs to brown). Transfer the finished omelet onto a plate.
